My captain is making sure that I read my signs and lights, every night - for the hearings in the mornings. He is a very strict captain, my man, and he doesn't accept me to run away from any lessons or fail on any of my homework. Good with some discipline for a sometimes unfocused and distracted girl like me though.

It is of major importance that everyone who's intending to keep a night watch on a sailing passage knows what lights are shown on the ships and ferries we might encounter on the sea to decrease the risk of colliding with them. This, and the color combinations of buoys are on my reading list for tonight. /Taru

Alexandra Burke's Tour Inspired By Michael Jackson

Singer Alexandra Burke has revealed that her first tour is inspired by Michael Jackson's This Is It DVD.

Burke told the Daily Record, "Going on tour is nerve-wracking in case it doesn't work. I wouldn't say I'm used to singing live because you never know what a performance will bring."

"For me, it's more about the things you don't know. I've never toured alone before so I'm excited but very scared - although not to the point that I won't go on stage. It's always good to have nerves and show you care."

She continued: "I've watched Michael Jackson's This Is It DVD about five times and all of the Beyoncé tour and have seen how people do live performances."

Burke's 21-date tour starts in Belfast on January 16.

Chipmunk Devastated Over Leaked Track

Chipmunk has revealed his devastation over a new track with U.S singer Chris Brown being leaked on the internet.

Chipmunk told BBC Newsbeat, "When [the track] leaked, I was looking at the sky asking, 'God, why?’ I just didn't understand."

"The amount of thought process that went into that track; the amount of battles we had for that track."

Chipmunk's new single release will be 'Transition' off his sophomore album Flying High.

Rapper T.I's duet song with singer Christina Aguilera 'Castle Walls', off his new album No Mercy, premiered on the web yesterday.

Castle Walls produced by Alex Da Kid, who has produce records for Eminem and Rihanna's 'Love The Way You Lie', B.o.B's 'Airplanes' and Nicki Minaj's 'Massive Attack', discuss the track with Rap Up.

"It’s hip-hop, it’s electro, but I think it’s gonna lend itself to a broad audience. It has some kind of substance to it in the lyrics. It should work on radio and in the club, hopefully."

Lady GaGa is busy performing her Monster Ball tour all over Europe, and while in Poland, she revealed to her audience that she believes that her new album, Born This Way, has the potential to be the greatest album of the decade!

Alesha Dixon Declines Take That Duet

Singer/Strictly Come Dancing judge Alesha Dixon has revealed that she had to turn down the opportunity to duet with Take That due to work commitments.

Dixon told Star magazine, "They asked me to do the Lulu bit once onstage with them," she said. "Imagine me when I got that call - I'd been a massive, massive, teenage fan and I was like: 'Yes, yes, yes!'"

She continued: "And then my manager told me I was contracted to do something else. I was gutted." "I'll happily do it on their next tour, though," she laughed.

Duffy Writes New Album In Three Weeks


British soul-pop singer Duffy reveals her new album Endlessly took her three weeks to write.

In an interview with ITV's This Morning, "The writing only took up three weeks of the 12 months that I was away. And I knew that it was going to be fast, because the moment I sat down with the person I co-wrote the album with, the ideas just flowed out."

"We were doing five [songs] a day because everything I was feeling was just flowing out. I knew it was going to be speedy, but I still wanted to cherish it."

The hot new shots - taken for Interview magazine - show the gorgeous star posing wet and shirtless, with some spectacularly toned abs on display.
But down to earth Kellan claims he can't see what all the fuss is about, and doesn't see himself as good looking.
‘It's funny when people say you have sex appeal or call you the next Brad Pitt. I just laugh. I'm not that. I don't want to be that,' he told Interview magazine.
''You're a sex icon.' Why? Because I played a vampire in a movie? It's all very unearned. If I had the best freaking abs in the world or if I looked like Brad Pitt does in Fight Club, then cool, but I'm not starving myself.'

‘My genetics are good, but they aren't crazy He-Man style. I don't get it, but I appreciate it.'

And Kellan reveals that rather than his hotter-than-hot status, he would rather be known for his talents as an actor.
‘It just blows my mind how many people think that because I was a model, I think I'm pretty and that I can use my looks to get ahead,' he said. ‘I'm not pretty!'

Christina Aguilera Meets Boyfriend's Mum


It has been reported that Burlesque singer Christina Aguilera has met her new BF Matt Rutler's mum over Thanksgiving weekend.

Aguilera reportedly flew over to New York City, whilst son Max spent Thanksgiving with his father.

A source told People magazine, "This is the first Thanksgiving she was without Max. It was really hard for her and she was feeling sad, so she decided to go to the East Coast with Matt and a group of friends."

It has been said that the couple drove to Rhode Island to spend time with Rutler's family.

"Since his family lives so close, they decided to drop in for a few hours. They're still getting to know each other better," told an insider.

Roland and Bipasha are in condos while Josh is at a place on the Broad Beach, as he didn’t want to be at the hotel. Bipasha is slogging hard for her new role and is training for horse-riding and swimming at the moment and has to start to learn sword fighting and fencing.

The Kardashian's boutique which opened up less than a month ago has already made a record profit, with a little help from the holiday weekend.

TMZ reported the that New York City branch double its profits on popular shopping day, Black Friday.

The shop made more than $100,000 (£64,000) on November 26, two times more than it usual $50,000 (£32,000) per day.

The giving couple invited a few of their celebrity friends like Natalia Jimenez, Alejandro Chaban, and Christian Acosta to help serve on the food line. Even their own daughter Emily was there doing her part.
Over 1800 people enjoyed a delish meal and everyone was real excited to be served by the famosos.

Pop sensation Justin Bieber has revealed that he would like to go to university despite his stardom.

Bieber revealed in Madrid, whilst promoting his remix album My Worlds Acoustic, that he wants to continue with his education.

Gossip Cop reported, "I always travel with a private tutor who I have five three-hour sessions a week with. I want to finish high school and also university and then evolve wherever my music takes me."

Stars America Ferrera and Ana Ortiz are rumoured to be excited about the prospect of a film, and have been in talks with top execs.
Lovely Ana, who plays Betty's sister Hilda in the US hit told Latina.com that a film is a definite possibility.
‘I will say this: It's open. There may be a movie!' said the star.
‘It's something that we've been talking about and it's something that America Ferrera would really love to do.
'That woman has so much determination that I can't imagine anything she puts her mind to not getting done,' she gushed.

Mariah Carey Pregnant With Twins

It has been reported that R&B/Pop diva, Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon could be having twins.

In an interview with U.S radio station Disney's, Mariah revealed that she sings Christmas carols to introduce her baby to the tradition.

She also added, "I just hope that they don't turn out hating Christmas!".

It is unclear whether Mariah used the word "they" to disguise the gender of her unborn child or if in fact she is really having twins.

Rihanna has revealed that she tired of being asked about the abusive relationship she had with U.S singer Chris Brown.

Rihanna responded to a fan on Twitter who asked the red headed singer to stop talking about her ex-boyfriend.

"AGREED! People won't stop askin abt it! Its f**kin annoying! Nobody wants to relive that, but some ppl can't respect that!" she wrote.

She continued: "I get it, they wanna raise awareness to young girls! But it ends up just makin me look bitter, pitiful, spiteful and angry!"

Faith Evans Gets Off DUI Charges

Faith Evans has signed a deal with her prosecutors from her recent September DUI case.

The singer pled 'no contest' to the reckless driving charge and will serve 36 months of probation. TMZ reported that Evan got away with two separate DUI charges.

Evan agreed to pay $300 in fines and to complete a three-month alcohol education programme.

Faith Evan will be live in concert on December 5th and 8th at the o2 Indigo Arena in London.
